Last I checked, UniUploader was only a Windows executable. It was partially for this reason that I wrote my own upload script.

Anyway, from what you are saying, it sounds like you are uploading the wrong SavedVariables file; one holding the per-character configuration instead of the "global" (actually account-level) configuration.

Ignoring the funkiness that can occur under Vista / Win7, the right SV file is located, in the same place on all platforms. It is located relative to the directory where World of Warcraft is installed, at

Quote:

WTF/Account/<accountname>/SavedVariables/CensusPlus.lua

where "<accountname> is the name of your WoW account (not character).

It sounds like what you are uploading are per-character files, which would be found at

WTF/Account/<accountname>/<realmname>/<charactername>/SavedVariables/CensusPlus.lua

The reason there are both per-character and per-account files for CP is because the (much larger) per-account file holds the census data for all realms and factions that you scan, while the per-character files hold configuration / preferences for each of those characters, such as whether "verbose" is turned on, whether to auto-scan, etc.

If you have been sending the larger per-account file, then the problem lies elsewhere.

Has anyone ever switched servers on one of their toons to play with co-workers? How'd it turn out?

Switched my shaman Oteb over to Archimonde, and although it's totally reversable, wanted to see if this is going to be statistically doomed.

Sorry to hear that, Epik.

It is not as easy as you think to just 'add' someone to the project. Ceto at one time was able to help me out, and that's someone I trust very much and even then it was pretty hard to work it out so he could help make changes.

As for the actual package itself, that would be fine if I could find someone else to help do updates to the AddOn

Is Census+ and warcraftrealms dead?

As for my combat log issue it must have been bad luck. I raided today and everything worked perfectly. I also was not able to reproduce Auctioneer issue, tho I know it is there. Probably nothing to worry about as it is rare anyway.

World of Warcraft seems to have a very heavy following, to say the absolute least. This game has injected itself into popular culture in only a few short years in a way that some religions cannot manage to in a few thousand. Needless to say, WoW is intensely popular. If you were to run a quick search online, you�d find entire communities devoted to the game, thousands of blogs set up in its honor, and more tips and tricks for success than there are in the archives of Hints from Heloise. But what does this all mean to you if you�re brand new to the WoW world?

Watching Peyton Manning�s cadence and learning his motions is good to gain some tricks on being an effective quarterback, but that doesn�t explain anything to you if you don�t know the first thing about football. The same applies to World of Warcraft. Not every newbie surfacing for the experience is privy to how to play. Level guides and mining tips and the respawn times of grinding fodder may be a foreign concept to you � essentially useless. By borrowing these formulated-for-players strategies, you�re blowing your chances of a successful game start. What you need is a beginner�s guide.

Maybe the only Net gaming experience you have if when you used to play online casino games. Maybe you�re from the 7th generation world of home consoles. Or maybe games aren�t your forte at all, and you�re deciding to give WoW a shot. Regardless of the situation, if you�re a beginner, then you�ll need a beginner�s guide.

With this article, you can be pointed in the right direction. We�ll discuss a few tips you can heed at the very start of your game. But be warned here: your best bet will always be to play the game and to garner your own experience. There�s truly no substitute for learning through trial and error.

First and foremost, WoW is all about forethought. You don�t want to dive right in unaware of the characters and the implications of your choice later down the road. Whatever character you�re selecting, take a while to read up on the powers of that character, the advantages and disadvantages.

Also, be prepared to play the game for all it�s worth. Don�t pass up on quests. Taking the time to complete all quests laid out will enable you to get a feel for the lay of the land, the gameplay, and also enable you to put together some funding.

You�ll want to learn about the auction house as soon as possible. Not only will this open up the door and teach you how the WoW marketplace works, but it will also allow you to be introduced to other players of the game. Forming lasting relationships and finding teammates is a good thing.

However you choose to proceed in the game, take your time and make sure to do things correctly. There will be plenty of tip guides out there telling you how to quickly pass through levels and skip over parts of the game, but the extra time spent playing will prove worth while once you grasp all the details. It won�t happen overnight, but you�ll soon be a fully capable WoW player.

How often can I upload my CensusPlus.lua?

You dont have to upload after every scan. Just upload when ever you log off the game.

Yeah, I even got the unlimited trial, logged in to make sure it works, but then didn't work on the Addon. I'm so far underwater, I hardly have any time
