As long as there's one entry, it would be useful to show what day of the week the entry is from.

For example if you see 1 saturday entry of Horde and one monday entry for Alliance, then you know the Alliance has relatively more people than the H:A ratio suggests.

The day of the week would only be shown if there's just 1 entry for that hour. If there's more than one entry, then it can simply show the average pop, although if all the entries are from the same day then it can list that day and if all the entries for that hour are from the weekend or weekday then it can show which one it's from.

If there's a healthy amount of weekday and weekend entries then it can show the % of which are from the weekend and weekdays.

The main purpose of this implementation is to help submitters run scans at hours underrepresented or not represented at all. The goal of this implementation is to have more accurate data and for deeper insight of the data. Rollie, I hope you consider implementing this idea into the 'Player Activity' page of WR. Thank you for your time and consideration of my idea.

Having it broken down by days of the week has been discussed before. The problem there is lack of entries for many servers. Which would render most of that data useless for all but the "power users" of warcraftrealms.

                                      Thanks for the clarification.
I actually use the Player Activity page more to get a gauge of the size of the server and so I know what hours are lacking scans.

Something else I noticed is the H:A ratio is based on the average Horde and Ally pop counting all hours, so if one faction doesn't have any peak hour submissions and the other does then they will get unfairly compared, am I correct in this assertion

Another bias comparison is weekend pop to weekday pop for the same hour, maybe if an abbreviation of the day was shown next to hour - faction average when theres only 1 entry or shown in place of the 1 entry, that might help the accuracy of the data.
Another thing that might throw off the graph and be misleading, although minor and less common is if one entry for one faction is from the beginning of the hour and the other factions entry is at the end of the hour, perhaps having an average entry time shown on the same column of the hour would help. If you implement this average entry idea, it would also be nice to make the average entry time a link to a list of all the entries for that hour showing when each entry was submitted, such as day of the week and the exact time.

I was also wondering if a scan starts at one hour and ends in the next hour, which hour does the scan get counted as

There is a subtle difference in those numbers.

For the Most Wanted page, it is listed in the number of SUBMISSIONS. On the player activity page, it is listed as the number of ENTRIES.

One SUBMISSION can have multiple ENTRIES.

Make sense?

Basically an entry is anytime a full census scan completes. A submission is when someone uploads all their data, possibly containing multiple entries.

So, best bet is to always go by the Most Wanted page.

The "Most Wanted" page lists Agamaggan as having 1 submission and the "Player Activity" page shows 4 separate entries. I've noticed data discrepancies in other servers too.
These pages are both important tools in deciding what servers need a census the most, it just throws people off when the data is inconsistent. I don't know if this is normal, perhaps one updates before the other, if so I'd like to suggest that they get updated at the same time.
