May 2009 Drawing - Tue May 12, 2009 6:08 am - Rollie
I did not do a drawing for April, so we'll again do a double drawing for May. We'll draw 4 numbers and give away 4 $75 Amazon gift certificates!
In addition, this drawing also includes tickets for Warhammer submissions. So if you haven't been logging in when submitting Warhammer data, be sure to do so in the future!
I have already assigned ticket numbers for this period and will log in and do the drawing when servers come up today!
EDIT: And the numbers are in!
As usual, you must claim your ticket to win the prize! PM me on the forums or email me, rollie (at) warcraftrealms.com
Good luck!
Concurrency Updated Through April 2009 - Tue May 12, 2009 5:31 am - Rollie
I have calculated the concurrency numbers through April 2008 provided by the CensusPlus UI Addon.
Going by past history, it is no surprise that we have a drop off after January. However, this year marks the most drastic decline. We are nearly back to the pre-expansion numbers. It is worth noting that after TBC came out, we never returned to activity numbers pre-BC.
The summer months typically show a slight increase in activity, likely due to more free time during the summer resulting in higher numbers of players online.
Looking at the Trending Graphs, we see that DK's are sliding more and more, but still remain one of the top played classes along with Paladins.
We continue to be light on submissions for several realms so help is greatly appreciated! Even 1 person can make a significant contribution, and all help is appreciated. To see if your realms is one of the less covered, check out the Most Wanted page!
And of course, just by submitting, you can win great prizes such as Amazon gift certificates! It's easy to do, it helps the site and it can be profitable to you! So help by submitting data today!
Concurrency Numbers updated through February 2009 - Wed Mar 04, 2009 6:37 am - Rollie
I have calculated the concurrency numbers through February 2008 provided by the CensusPlus UI Addon.
For the first time in our history we show an average primetime population topping 1 million concurrent players. It happened in January which is attributable to Christmas sales of new games and renewed subscriptions.
January had the spike to over 1 million concurrent players and we see that February is already dropping off, which is more dramatic than we have seen the past two years.
Deathknights still dominate the highest played class on Horde side, and are neck in neck with Paladins for the Alliance. Of interesting note is to see how Rogue numbers are continuing to decline which is such a sharp contrast to their once being one of the most numerous classes. Among level 80s, only warlocks are fewer than rogues at this point, and not by much.
March 2009 Drawing - Wed Mar 04, 2009 6:14 am - Rollie
Well, I completely missed doing a drawing in February so I did a double drawing for March. This time around, we'll draw 4 numbers and give away 4 $75 Amazon gift certificates.
In addition, this drawing also includes tickets for Warhammer submissions. So if you haven't been logging in when submitting Warhammer data, be sure to do so in the future!
As usual, you must claim your ticket to win the prize! PM me on the forums or email me, rollie (at) warcraftrealms.com

WAR Census updated for patch 1.2, Choppa and Slayer added - Wed Mar 04, 2009 5:47 am - Rollie
You can download from warcraftrealms:
http://www.warcraftrealms.com/mods/Warhammer-Census.0.5.zip
Or from Curse:
http://war.curse.com/downloads/war-addons/details/warcensus.aspx
This version is an update to support patch 1.2 which had a couple of changes that outright broke the last version. It also provides support for the Choppa and Slayer careers!
As always, please let me know on the forums if you run into any problems!
Warhammer character and guild profiles coming online - Fri Feb 13, 2009 10:54 am - Rollie
So I finally got around to adding character and guild pages for Warhammer data. More fully fleshed out info will be forthcoming, but this is a start!
You can view examples here:
Guild Ruinous on Dark Crag Order:
http://www.warcraftrealms.com/war_guildsheet.php?guildid=12347
Dirkmcgirk of the same guild:
http://www.warcraftrealms.com/war_charsheet.php?charid=365771
Also, I added some activity graphs for Warhammer:
http://www.warcraftrealms.com/war_activity.php?factionid=1
http://www.warcraftrealms.com/war_activity.php?factionid=2
http://www.warcraftrealms.com/war_faction_activity.php
On the activity charts, the bars are the number of submissions plotted against the 2nd (right) y-axis. We could really use more Warhammer submissions. Even 1 regular submitter can make a big difference so download today!
A Warhammer branded site is in the works so hopefully we'll be able to move to our own Warhammer area with easier to find Warhammer data soon!
Oh, and currently in order to search the Warhammer data for a character or guild, you currently do a normal search by entering in your query in the box in the upper right of the site, and then you must click the follow up link to view the Warhammer results. Kinda clunky I know, but I wanted to put something up now until I can get a better solution.
